The peak of Summer is here. Temperatures are soaring, barbeques are crackling, and fireworks have been popping. During July, we celebrate America’s birth and many the accomplishments we’ve made along the way. During this time of reflection, it is important to also take time to assess ourselves and our own development.
While summertime often brings a taste of leisure, it can also bring stress, and with our recent celebration of Independence Day, brings about activities such as vacation planning, children at home during the summer, childcare concerns, changes in work schedules, longer days, and visits from relatives can all add up, causing problems with anxiety and even depression.
